Turns out, our galaxy might be playing host to a dozen super-rare, medium-sized black holes that are just wandering around! Scientists thought these intermediate-mass black holes (IMBHs) were nearly impossible to find, but new research suggests they could be hiding in plain sight, drifting through the Milky Way instead of chilling at the center.
