The Trip That Didn’t Change Me
I thought Glacier National Park would be the reset button. Everyone said Montana’s wild spaces would clear my head, so I drove for hours, chasing that promise. The mountains were massive, the air sharp, the lakes colder than I expected. I took photos I never posted—me, standing in front of something ancient, trying to look like I belonged there.
But the truth is, I felt exactly the same. I kept waiting for awe to fix me, for a view to make me feel less lost. Instead, I just stood there, small and unchanged, wishing I could admit that sometimes, travel doesn’t heal anything. It just gives you new places to feel the same old ache.
