Home Isn’t Always Comfortable, But It’s Real

I grew up an hour from Silver Falls, but I never really saw it until I left. When you’re a kid, you don’t notice the way the air tastes like moss, or how the water sounds when it drops—like it’s trying to remind you of something you forgot. Coming back, I felt like a tourist in my own life. The trails were the same, but I wasn’t. I kept thinking: if this place can stay this beautiful after all these years, why do I keep running from it? Maybe I just needed to leave to see it. Or maybe I’m still trying to figure out what home is supposed to feel like. #HomesickTraveler #TravelConfessions #OregonUnfiltered #Travel
