Thomas Woods+FollowA big hole in my new house!! What do we do with it??? π΅π΅We just bought a half-finished house, and while we're super excited, we've got a really big challenge on our hands. The previous owners intended this space to be an indoor pool, but we're not keen on keeping it that way. Now we're staring at this big, multi-sided pit... Our main idea is to level out the floor, essentially filling in the pool pit. But we also wonder if there is another way... And then there's the wooden plank ceiling. We're considering painting it white, and maybe matching the door and window trims in a complementary color. Or do you have other ideas for this ceiling? #HomeRenovation #DesignDilemmas #IndoorPool #NewHome #InteriorDesign #CeilingDesign #HelpMeDecide #DIYProjects #HomeMakeover 3998Share
Richard Hill+FollowWhy No Yard on Expensive Houses?!I just don't get it. You fork out a small fortune for a gigantic house, and then what? No yard to enjoy, no space for a BBQ with friends, just a vast lump of concrete! Whereβs the logic? Isnβt part of having a home about enjoying some green space, maybe planting a garden or just having a patch of grass for the kids to play on? It blows my mind how these modern designs prioritize everything except outdoor space. Maybe it's all about that Instagram aesthetic now, but give me a good, old backyard any day! Anyone else scratching their heads over this? Let's chat, 'cause I can't be the only one wondering about this weird trend! #ModernHouseDesign #HomeSweetHome #DesignDilemmas90Share
Thomas Woods+FollowOur first home has so much wood trim... π© What do I do?!We're buying our first house! Seriously it's amazing, but there is just SO MUCH wood trim everywhere. It has its charm, but it's definitely making the place feel a little stuck in time. My wife is totally against painting any wood. And I'm honestly right in the middle. We're planning to paint the walls anyway to freshen things up, but this trim situation is stressing me out. Any creative ideas, examples, or thoughts you've got? What would you do? #FirstHome #HomeDecor #DesignDilemmas #WoodTrim #RenovationIdeas #NewHomeOwner 00Share
Joseph Norris+FollowHow to warm up the front of this cold house? A big family just moved into their Grade II listed Georgian home 7 months ago, and the front still feels really cold. Major renovations are out β they can't change the original design. So, no tearing up the patio for grass. Thinking plants in pots could help, but what kind? Any other small, allowed ideas to freshen things up? #CurbAppeal #DesignDilemmas #GardeningTips #Gardening #HistoricHomes #HelpNeeded #HomeDecor 00Share
Brianna Patel+FollowHow to wrap this wainscot panel around a corner like this? π€Or end it at the wall? I think maybe I can try cutting it down to have just the one rectangle portion and then get blank panels on the side. #DIYHelp #HomeImprovement #Woodworking #TrimWork #AskForAdvice #RenovationProject #Carpentry #DesignDilemmas #DIYCommunity #HomeDecor 00Share
