Am I Overreacting to This Pool Fill-In? 😓

With large pieces of concrete just dumped into the pool, this man is now seeking some advice and feedback here on this pool fill-in project🤔 He just doesn't like how it felt like the pool was just being used as a giant trash pit...🗑️😵 Plus, there were no layers of fill with compaction in between, which seems pretty crucial. Another concern is that it looks like not enough was cleared from the sides of the pool shell, potentially messing up the yard grading later. Naturally, they stopped the project, but the contractor is telling them they're being overly critical 😡.
