Manuel Bright+FollowHow y'all hunting in this brutal heat? 🥵🦟I don’t know how some of y’all do it… August hunting feels like punishment. Between the heat, skeeters, and snakes, I usually hold off ‘til September. My heat survival kit: portable fan, thermacell, and snake boots. But honestly? I'm not as crazy about hunting as I used to be when it comes to dealing with this humidity. What's your secret to summer hunting? Or do you wait it out like me? #hunting #summerhunting #huntingseason #hotweatherhunting20Share

Eric Ford+FollowOld timer told me not to wear blue when huntingAnyone else grow up hearing “don’t wear blue in the woods”? I always thought it was just old hunter talk—until I learned deer actually see blue way more vividly than orange. Makes a lot more sense now. Curious—what other color tips did you learn early on? #hunting #huntingtips #Outdoors2750Share
tyler79+FollowDo you hunt for live or for fun?Just curious—how many of y’all are hunting full-time to feed the family, or just for the love of it on weekends? Would love to hear your stories and what drives you. #hunting #huntinglife #Outdoors1122Share
jortiz+Followebike hunting is so underrated honestlyLoaded up my gear, cruised quietly to my spot - no busted knees, no gas fumes, faster than hiking. Why aren't more hunters talking about this? #hunting #ebikehunting #huntinggear #outdoors 75Share
paulcarol+FollowFound my buck using just my nose 👃One of my most memorable recoveries happened years ago during mule deer season. I took a shot right at last light—looked like a solid hit—but the buck disappeared into thick sagebrush just below the ridge. By the time I got down, it was pitch black. No blood trail, no flashlight strong enough to cut through the dark. So, I dropped to all fours and used my nose. Sure enough, I caught that unmistakable buck scent and followed it straight to him—he’d gone maybe 50 feet. Smelling my way to a deer wasn’t something I ever thought I’d do, but it worked. Anyone else ever used scent to recover one in the dark? #hunting #trackingtips #deerhunting #huntinghacks115Share
mmoore+FollowHow did you gals get into hunting?Ladies, can we talk about learning to hunt? When I started in college, finding other women hunters was nearly impossible! I was lucky to have guy friends and my now-husband teach me the ropes, but that "after the shot" process was honestly terrifying. The field dressing and quartering part? Total game-changer once I figured it out. I'll never forget my worst job with a massive bull elk - exhausted, cold, and completely overwhelmed. That's when I discovered the gutless method and it literally changed everything! Now I hunt solo with confidence and actually prefer it. There's something so freeing about mastering those skills that initially seemed impossible. I’d love to hear your stories—how did you get started? What was the biggest challenge for you? #hunting #womenwhohunt #gutlessmethod40Share
tyler79+FollowAnyone tried camping in hunter management areas?Been looking at some HMA maps and wondering if anyone's tried camping inside these areas during hunting season. Seems like it could be a game changer for access, but not sure about the rules. Any experience with overnight stays in HMAs? #hunting #Outdoors #HMA #HuntingLands915Share
bushjill+FollowHow I finally dropped a big boar clean 🐗Lost my first big boar because I rushed the shot with my deer rifle and light bullets. That thick shield stopped me cold and taught me everything about hog hunting the hard way. Here's what I learned from that expensive lesson: 1️⃣ Bullet selection matters - those thick shields and heavy bones need tough, expanding bullets like Nosler Partition or Barnes TSX. Save the light deer bullets for deer. 2️⃣ Get close - hogs are surprisingly easy to stalk. I now get within 100 yards instead of trying hero shots at 300. 3️⃣ Build a solid rest - shooting sticks, tripod, pack, anything. Hogs are fidgety and move constantly, so you need rock-solid stability. 4️⃣ Patience pays - wait for the right angle. They'll eventually give you that perfect broadside shot. Now I drop them clean every time. What's your biggest hog hunting lesson learned? #hunting #hoghunting #wildboar #huntinglife2821Share
paulcarol+FollowWhy I still hunt with my first rifleI was cleaning out my safe the other day and picked up the old .270 I’ve used since my first deer season. Got me thinking—no matter how many rifles I try, I always come back to this one. It’s not the most advanced, but it’s reliable, and the memories it carries are worth more than any upgrade. Anyone else feel the same about their first deer rifle? Or have you moved on to something newer? #hunting #huntinggear #deerSeason 23389Share
