Jonesy is our tiny but might tiger 😻🧡 This little lad is just 4 weeks old, and he’s had quite a journey already. Jonesy and his sister Ripley came to us when they were only a few days old after their mum sadly died during labour. Denise, one of our amazing experienced fosterers, took the pair home to feed and care for them around the clock. Very sadly, Ripley passed away when she was just 10 days old 💔 little Jonesy has kept fighting, and thankfully he’s doing really well. He’s still being hand reared but he's getting so big and turning into a proper little cat now! He's discovering just how much fun toys can be and he’ll start weaning onto kitten food soon. After a very rough start in a puppy mill, this sweet 2-year-old Shih Tzu has officially been cleared for adoption—and she’s making up for lost time in the best way. When Mattie first arrived, her entire back end was shaved due to painful scabs. But after a full exam and bloodwork (all normal!), this brave little girl is healing beautifully and absolutely thriving in her foster home. Mattie has discovered how wonderful love can be. ADOPTED! Hi, my name is Casey, and I am a male Shih Tzu mix thought to be around 5 years young, and I weigh in at 18 lbs. I was surrendered to the rescue when my previous owner became homeless and had to go to a place where pets were not allowed. Since I lived on the street, I can be a bit unpredictable but since arriving in my foster home I am learning what it is like to be in a safe environment. I can be nippy in new situations so I will need someone kind who is willing to teach me to trust and love. I have made so much progress since being the rescue, but the rescue wants everyone who might consider me to know my issues as they want each adoption to be a success. I am good with other dogs do not mind cats. I am crate trained and doing well with house manners I am looking for a fenced yard in an all-adult home with lots of love to share with me. She might require some patience in the beginning as she gets used to you as she is a natural born protector. She would do well with land or a farm but could also do well in a house with a yard. She has so much love to give. She loves to run around outside and then come back to you and she will jump up on you to get cuddles and attention. And then she’ll get back down and run around again. Sweet little Cali was born at a puppy mill in Denver, PA and was surrendered, at just 8 weeks old, to all4pawsrescue because she was “unfit for sale”. She had a heart murmur. Through veterinary care, including multiple cardiology specialists, Cali was diagnosed with a severe PDA (patent ductus arteriosus). This congenital defect is caused by poor breeding practices and occurs when a blood vessel in the heart fails to close after birth, leading to abnormal blood flow between the aorta and pulmonary artery. Left untreated it eventually causes heart failure and death. Surgery to repair this condition costs approximately $7,500. Unscrupulous breeders are causing this serious health issue for puppies like Cali and then abandoning them when they need lifesaving care. The ALITE Fund was pleased to provide a grant to All 4 Paws Rescue to help defray the cost of Cali’s surgery. It took place last week, when Cali was finally big enough to tolerate this very serious and dangerous procedure. The surgery was successful and Cali is expected to make a full recovery!
