But after way too much trial and error (and a lot of frustration), I realized the biggest change came from going back to basics. Now I just focus on: Daily sunscreen ☀️ A gentle retinol ✨ A solid moisturizer 💧 That’s it. Keeping my routine simple and consistent cleared up so many of the issues I used to stress about. Frownies Smell Like the Underworld — How Do You All Tolerate This?! 😂

Alright y’all, I (33F) finally gave in and tried Frownies to help with my faint forehead lines and 11s between Botox appointments. And let me tell you... I was not prepared. First of all, the smell. Everyone said they smell like postage stamps or envelope glue — and honestly, I envy you. To me, it was like soggy papier-mâché dredged straight from the depths of the underworld. Even Hades himself would be questioning the stench. 😵‍💫 Slapping them onto my forehead felt like pressing wet, cursed paper to my skin. The smell didn’t really dissipate once they dried, and yes, I even woke up in the middle of the night still smelling them. Removing them? Nightmare part two — rewetting them reactivated the entire olfactory horror show. 😂 To make matters even more chaotic, my dogs were obsessed with them. They woke me up early with their faces in mine, trying to lick the Frownies off like they’d found forbidden treasure. One of them even went full detective mode — counter-surfing (which she never does!) just to try to sniff them out. The upside: I do think they helped a little with my 11s. I’m going to try again tonight with rose water spray instead of plain water and maybe add a few more patches for my forehead. But if I can’t survive another night glued to these smelly things, I might have to try Smoothies like some of you recommended. (P.S. I’m allergic to silicone and sensitive to adhesives — even KT tape gives me a rash — so any non-silicone suggestions are very welcome!! 💜) Serious question though: HOW do you all tolerate the smell?! Is there a version that doesn’t stink this bad?? I’m super sensitive to scents and these are roughhh 🤢 #FrowniesExperience #WrinklePatchStruggles #BeautyFails #RealLifeBeauty #SkinCareJourney #PostBotoxCare #SensitiveSkinProblems #DogsVsFrownies

Rec|Adapalene is seriously a miracle for acne-prone skin!

Can’t believe how well it works?? I’m combo-oily and acne-prone. After Chinese New Year (bad diet, not enough sleep), I broke out like crazy — tons of closed comedones and red marks. I’ve been using azelaic acid for 4 years but it stopped working, so I grabbed a tube of adapalene just to try. 🗓️ First use: March 4 — my skin barrier was already sensitive (turned red after washing), but I recklessly applied it to my whole face without building tolerance 😅 didn’t know you were supposed to go slow… 🗓️ March 6-7: Most of the bumps came to a head and turned into visible white pimples — looked awful lol. Also had peeling, so I used a thick moisturizer on dry spots. (PSA: Kiehl’s calendula toner & cream stung like crazy, regret buying the full set 🥲) Kept using azelaic acid during the day + adapalene at night. 🗓️ Now it’s been a week: My cheeks are almost clear! Just working on post-acne marks now. Still a few stubborn spots on my forehead/nose but way better than before. Skin’s drier than usual so I’m moisturizing more, and yeah — dead skin rubs off when applying lotion, but overall super worth it. I’m definitely sticking with it. #beauty#makeup #acneprone #skincarejourney #adapalene #retinoidreview #closedcomedones #purgingphase #acnetips #miracleproduct
