Seriously, it helps me stay calm and focused. • I ASK for clarification—like, “Can you explain what you mean?” Sometimes people rethink their words! • I AGREE a little (if it’s true), but not 100%. “Yeah, I can be cautious sometimes.” • I REFUTE (nicely) if I think they’re wrong. “I see myself as realistic, not negative.” • I use HUMOR to lighten the mood. “Guess I’m just positively negative today!” • Sometimes, I just THANK them and move on.
