My late grandma worked at a British munitions factory. So why did she have this bracelet with a symbol like THIS???

My British grandmother died before I was born. I inherited some of her belongings and was going through a box of her old things when I found this tiny bracelet. It’s a bit of a shock because it looks like it has a swastika on it. I do not think she was a Nazi. It also has a small flag on it with the letters "SHDG" and the word "monterosa." And if you need more information, I remember my grandfather served in the Canadian army in World War II and met her at a dance in Britain while she was working at an ammunitions factory. I am just hoping that I can find out what this is and figure out why she might have had it. I am really hoping someone out there can help me solve this mystery. #FamilyHistory #WWII #Jewelry #Mystery #Swastika #HelpNeeded #Jewelry #FamilySecrets #FamilyStories

My mechanic says my rusted brake lines are fine. But I'm still terrified

I am in a really tough spot and would appreciate some advice. I am currently in Michigan and need to get back to New York, which is about an 11-hour drive. My 2003 Buick Regal has less than 50k miles on it and just passed all its inspections, except for one thing. The mechanic says I have rusted brake lines, but he says there are no leaks or seepage and that he would drive it himself. The thing is, I'm still nervous about driving that far with them and having a leak happen halfway through the trip. My options are to ship the car home for $700, get a rush repair here for $2,000, or try to get it home and fixed in New York for about $1,000. I'm so stressed out over this decision. What would you do in my situation? #CarRepair #RoadTrip #HelpNeeded #CarAdvice #Cars

My grandpa passed away. Can anyone help me identify his tattoo?

My incredible grandpa passed away recently at the age of 85. I'm so grateful my grandma took a picture of his tattoo before he passed because for whatever reason, I never asked him about it. It's got a banner with his name, EDWIN, and as a kid I always thought it was some kind of leopard. The only story he told about it was that he got it to cover up a crude "LOVE MOM" cross he had done himself when he was a kid. I believe this was done sometime between 1954 and 1965. In that time, he was a railroad switchman and a long-haul trucker. He was also a total badass who rode motorcycles. I don't know anything about tattoo styles, but I would love to know more about this. If anyone has an idea about what this is or what the style might be, I would be so grateful. #FamilyHistory #FamilyRelationships #FamilyStories #HelpNeeded #Tattoos #Skin
