🚨 DRESDEN SHOOTOUT — WOMAN NOW FACING 39 FELONY CHARGES Zanesville, Ohio — The woman at the center of that intense Dresden standoff is now facing a long list of charges. Rebecca Theresa Ann Besser has been hit with 39 felony charges after a shoot-out with police during an eviction attempt. It all started March 25— 👉 Officers arrived to serve an eviction notice 👉 Besser told them she had a gun That’s when things escalated fast. 👉 SWAT was called in 👉 Tear gas was deployed 👉 Multiple rounds of gunfire were exchanged 👉 A police drone was shot down Despite all of that— 👉 No one was injured Besser eventually surrendered. So, not sure how eviction works, but I think police were there to just hand her papers of eviction, right? Or were they there to take her out of the place? How did it escalate like this? And if she has a place to stay(jail is a roof over her head)-maybe that's why she escalated it.There must be a better way.

***Does anybody else want to address the elephant in the room? This woman had a shoot out with the police before being arrested to face felonious charges. Yet an unarmed black person, frightens police so badly, that many of them who are arrested end up dead at the hands of multiple police officers. In the aftermath, most people are usually satisfied with the “they should’ve complied” defense in those cases. Yet, although this woman clearly resisted, and allegedly staged her own attack against the law officers, but somehow the officers used restraint in making this arrest. So apparently, they are capable of that in some cases. But what makes this case distinctly different than the multiple cases where the perpetrators are black and the investigation shows that they were unarmed? I know the answer, do you? 🤦♂️
