Should I retire early when my husband is 10 years younger? 😰

I'm absolutely torn and really need your advice! After 32 years climbing the corporate ladder in marketing, I'm finally eligible for Medicare next month. This feels like my golden ticket to freedom, but here's my dilemma 😔 My husband is 10 years younger and absolutely loves his engineering job. He's planning to work at least another 3-4 years, which means I'd be home alone while he's still grinding away. Part of me is terrified about this transition - what if I get bored or depressed? I keep going back and forth about taking on some part-time consulting work to stay active and maintain my sanity. But honestly, I'm also scared about actually giving my two weeks' notice after three decades with the same company 😅 Has anyone else navigated retiring before their spouse?
