Found $450K Missing Revenue - Boss Doesn't Know Yet! 😰💰

Hey everyone, I'm literally shaking as I write this and desperately need your advice! 😟 I'm 22 and work as a financial analyst at a major corporation. Last week, while building some routine reports, I discovered we've been missing $450K in annual revenue due to billing errors. Nobody else caught this, and I'm the only one who knows! 😱 Here's where I'm freaking out - I report directly to our CFO and my performance review is next week. I make $80K at this billion-dollar company, and I'm terrified about how to handle this discovery. 💼 Should I tell my boss immediately? Wait until my review? I'm worried they'll think I'm overstepping or trying to show off. But this is HUGE money we're talking about! What would you do in my shoes? I'm losing sleep over this! 😭✨ #WorkplaceAdvice #CareerGrowth #FinancialAnalyst #JobCareer

Here 4 the hate
There is already a process in place, you better talk about it asap. holding on to it isn't going to do any good. Get the ball rolling, you want it to be widespread what you found for your review it won't matter much, you are 22 inexperienced and reaching out online how to handle basic work tasks. They will be thankful hand it off to senior staff

tell your boss immediately! my daughter works for a big corporation as well. and her department she found a huge loss of money due to billing errors as well. she told the CFO immediately. he was thrilled that she had caught that and was disappointed that other people's hadn't before she did. they gave her a bonus. and made it known the contribution that she did. they also restructured and did reverse the billing so that they could recoup at least some of that money. good luck to you. you're a good man! 🙏

This is literally part of your job. You need to report this via email to the appropriate person (and I say via email as you need some built in CYA)

write a memo and just casually mention the money, ask what the correct procedure is for reporting it, and you have a way for the police to find your killer 😁 the CFO may be involved.
