Microwave Poached Eggs: Fast Breakfast

Grab a microwave-safe mug (tapered bottoms work best) and fill it with 1/2 cup cold water. Crack an egg into the mug, making sure not to break the yolk. Prick the yolk gently with a fork—this little trick prevents messy explosions and rubbery eggs. Important!❗️❗️❗️ Make sure the egg is fully submerged. If not, add a bit more water. Cover the mug with a microwave-safe lid and nuke it on high for about a minute. Check the egg white—if it’s still runny, zap it for another 10-15 seconds. Use a slotted spoon to lift out your poached egg. Add salt and pepper, and you’re done.
