Is This What Years of Hard Work Amount To?

After a year of pushing for a raise, I finally got one—but it was a letdown, to say the least. I’ve been with this company for over a decade, taking on bigger roles, leading projects, and even switching teams, but somehow my paycheck never caught up with my responsibilities. Promotions came with new titles but not a single extra dollar, almost as if they hoped I wouldn’t notice. Now, after all this time, the raise I received barely scratches the surface of what I’ve contributed. I’m grateful, sure, but it’s hard not to feel undervalued. I’ve tried to address this with my manager, who supports me, but the real decision-makers are out of reach. HR even declined to meet with me, so I’m left wondering—what else can I do?
