is my asparagus turning into a mutant? week 1 update and wild tips

So, I checked on my asparagus patch this week and nearly dropped my coffee. One of the stalks looks like it’s been hitting the gym—thick, twisted, and totally wild. Turns out, this is called fasciation, and it’s actually a thing plants do sometimes. I just kept watering like usual and made sure the soil stayed loose. I even sprinkled a little compost around for good luck. Watching this funky asparagus grow has been the highlight of my week. If you spot weird shapes in your garden, don’t panic!
