My Promotion Blues 😔

Ever feel like you’re running on a treadmill at work—moving fast but getting nowhere? That’s been my reality lately. I poured my heart into my job, got glowing reviews, and yet, when promotion season rolled around, I was left standing still while others zoomed ahead. Some even got promoted twice in the time I’ve been waiting! Management once hinted my turn was coming, but now it feels like the finish line keeps moving. I’m so sensitive to feedback now, and my confidence is shot. I’m updating my resume, but honestly, I’m terrified I won’t measure up to all those well-connected candidates out there. I know jobs aren’t supposed to love us back, but it stings when your effort goes unnoticed. My mornings are spent doom-scrolling, and my mood is tanking—spilling over into my personal life.
