Promoted Too Soon? Now I’m the Villain at Work 😅

I never thought my master's degree would land me in this much trouble. Last month, I was suddenly put in charge of a team in a department I barely knew, just because of my academic background. Now, every day feels like walking on eggshells. My team hardly talks to me, and when I try to get their input, I’m met with silence or side glances. The only time I’m noticed is when something goes wrong—then all eyes are on me, and not in a good way. Honestly, I feel like I’m failing before I’ve even started. Has anyone else felt completely lost after being thrown into a leadership role? How did you get your team to trust you?
