why did my basil go wild after i started talking to it daily?

Last month, I noticed my basil looked a little droopy. So, I started chatting with it every morning while watering. I told it about my weekend plans and even sang a little. No joke, after a week, the leaves perked up and new shoots popped out everywhere. I also made sure to snip the tops once in a while, which kept it bushy. Turns out, plants love a little attention and regular trimming. My kitchen smells amazing now, and I get to toss fresh basil into everything.
