I've always wanted to take my older brother to France—he's been dreaming about seeing Versailles for years. But here's the thing: he's a quadriplegic, needs supplemental oxygen, a feeding tube, and catheterization. Flying seems totally out of the question for him, so I started looking into cruises from the east coast. Is it even possible to take a cruise ship one way, spend a few days in Europe, and then come back? Or do they make you buy a round-trip ticket? And then there's the mountain of medical supplies. I mean, hauling two or three weeks’ worth of oxygen tanks, feeding formula, and catheters sounds like a nightmare. Has anyone figured out how to get these kinds of supplies in Europe? Is it a huge hassle, or do pharmacies over there carry what we need? I’d hate to finally get us across the ocean only to realize we can’t get the basics for him. I feel like every time I get excited about planning, I hit another wall—why does traveling with a disability have to be so complicated? #accessibletravel #disabilitysupport #europecruise #Travel
