My family is very eager to know my salary, I should be a transparent person😳💸

I swung by my parents’ place to grab some stuff and accidentally left my tax return on the kitchen counter. Fast forward to a text from my mom: "Saw your tax form—wow, big year, huh?" Cue my heart pounding out of my chest. Suddenly, my private finances are front-page news in my own family! Now, my mom’s acting weird, dropping hints about how easy I have it compared to their struggles. I feel like I’m being judged for every dollar I make, and honestly, it’s making me furious and confused. Why does money always turn into a battlefield at home? Am I overreacting, or is this a legit invasion of privacy? How do you keep your financial life from becoming family gossip? Help me out, because I’m losing my mind over here! 😤🤯 #FamilyFinance #MoneyDrama #PrivacyPlease #AwkwardFamily #HelpNeeded #RomanticRelationships

My parents try to shame me making more than family combined. I tell them my schooling and hard work paved the way. Used to be liberal indoctrination to them. No shaming me now just begging.

Omg I’m so sorry
It so wrong of your mom mentions her struggles… she should just be happy for you.. don’t forget you need to set boundaries with the family..

she had no business looking at your private papers to begin with if you live at her house you can bet she goes through your room and anything else you have MOVE OUT TELL HER IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS THE NEXT SHE OR ANY FAMILY OR FRIENDS OF HERS MENTIONED YOUR EARNINGS OR ANY OF YOUR PRIVACY YOU WILL FILE INVASION OF PRIVACY SUIT AGAINST HER. She has crossed the line in a very big way
