Did You Know The Eagles’ Don Henley Was Arrested After a 16-Year-Old Overdosed in His Home?

In November 1980, The Eagles co-founder and drummer Don Henley made headlines for one of rock’s most shocking scandals. Police were called to his Los Angeles home after finding a 16-year-old girl suffering from a drug overdose. Reports revealed that she was discovered naked and semi-conscious, surrounded by drug paraphernalia. Henley, who was 33 at the time, was arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and possession of cocaine, quaaludes, and marijuana. He later pleaded no contest, avoiding jail time through a fine and probation. The event came shortly after The Eagles disbanded, adding to the chaos surrounding his career. Despite the seriousness of the charges, Henley’s fame and influence helped him recover quickly. By the mid-1980s, he was topping charts again as a solo artist. The 1980 incident, however, remains a dark reminder of how celebrity privilege once shielded stars from accountability. #DonHenley #TheEagles #HollywoodScandal #MusicHistory #RockControversy #ChaunceyDatGuy

A friend of mine went away recently to rehab, trying to get off the poison everybody knows too well these days. I’ve known him a few years. He’s fought heroin most of his life, and lately it’s been fentanyl. He seemed okay for a while. Last night I was over at his house with his significant other, and he was falling asleep standing up. He told me he was just tired. Anybody who’s ever been around someone using that stuff knows the look, the slouch, the drool. I know he’s using again. All his friends know. His significant other knows. I’ve already lost a young man to this damn stuff. After all the attention, all the talk, all the warnings, we’re still losing people every day. I’ll have to talk to him sooner or later. Last night wasn’t the time. This isn’t a question of if. It’s a question of when that stuff kills you. I don’t understand why this poison is everywhere. Why with all the money and effort, we can’t stop it. Why the cartel gets to roam the border while we pretend the Mexican government isn’t controlled by them. So much is going on, and anyone my age knows someone they’ve lost to fentanyl. Jacksonville is full of it, and it’s damn frustrating. #DrugAddiction https://sewermeetsthesea.substack.com

I’m beyond frustrated with the corruption and decay within our government. It doesn’t matter whether they call themselves Democrats or Republicans, too many of our so-called leaders have lost the courage to fight for the American people. Our institutions have been infiltrated at the highest levels, and the money taken from hardworking citizens through taxes often ends up enriching global elites instead of serving our nation. What’s worse is how many Americans remain blind to what’s happening. From childhood, we’ve been fed a steady diet of division, distraction, and indoctrination. Changing minds isn’t impossible, but it’s becoming harder every year. My hope for this country is simple: that we find unity again. We must stand together, beyond race, religion, or politics, and reject the lies that keep us divided and weak. Every person here descends from immigrants who came seeking a better life, so enough with the hate and finger-pointing. If we keep fighting one another instead of the corruption above us, future generations will remain stuck in the same cycle of poverty and manipulation. It’s time to rise, reject hatred, and demand a government that truly serves all Americans.

well considering I get SNAP benefits because of my age and disability. anyone who is getting this service should be okay with being investigated. they can go through my application with a fine tooth comb as far as I'm concerned. I'm not lying and I don't think anybody who is caught line should receive help. if you're not doing anything wrong and you're not lying about your situation. then you have nothing to fear. well thetruthhurts1 for your information some of those people who are working. and still getting food stamps. are mostly single mothers with deadbeat daddy's not paying their child support or helping take care of their children. those are some of the families that are working and still need help. I'm gathering by what you're saying you've never had to struggle. maybe you should check out the situation before you start making your asinine assuming speech.🤔

America's Deep Roots of Racism

Ongoing, systemic racism is actively undermining America’s future by functioning as a massive economic and social anchor. The vast racial wealth and income gaps—which persist due to structural barriers in housing, employment, and justice systems—are projected to cost the U.S. economy trillions of dollars in lost consumption and investment over the next decade, severely hampering national GDP growth. Furthermore, the resulting social inequities fuel deep political polarization and public cynicism, threatening democratic stability by marginalizing vast segments of the increasingly diverse population from full economic and political power. If left unaddressed, this systemic exclusion of talent and opportunity ensures that the U.S. will be less competitive, more deeply divided, and less prosperous in the 21st century than it otherwise could be. We need to eliminate systemic racism for everyone's best interest! #Racism #SystemicIssuesUSA #ExposingRacialHypocrisy #Antiracism
