Spinning reels aren't "simpler" than baitcasters
Been using both for years and gotta say - baitcasters are actually simpler in operation. Push button, throw, done. But spinning reels? Hold the line with your finger, check the bail position, flip it, cast, release, flip back, reel in... plus those dreaded wind knots! Sure, they're more forgiving for beginners, but "simpler"?
