Glow Up, Not Break Out: The Real Way to Apply Vitamin C Serum

Ever slapped on a new serum and woke up with angry red patches? Yep, been there! Vitamin C can be a game-changer for glowing skin, but only if you use it right. 💡Always patch test first—dab a drop on your wrist and wait 24 hours. No reaction? You’re good to go! 📌Cleanse and tone your face, then gently press 2-3 drops of serum onto dry skin. Don’t rush—let it soak in for 5-10 minutes before moisturizing. ⚠️Mixing with strong acids or benzoyl peroxide? Give your skin a breather between steps to avoid irritation. ✅Stick with it daily for brighter, smoother skin (but don’t forget sunscreen if you use it in the morning!). Help pls|Redness keeps peeking through even with makeup

need some advice! My cheeks often get red (from sensitivity/allergy), and even after foundation + concealer + powder, the redness still shows through after a while… It makes my base look kinda patchy and not clean 😭 Also! After 3–4 hours, the areas where I applied more concealer get flaky and cakey. Currently using: MUFE HD Skin foundation, Canmake 3-color concealer, KIKO pressed powder. Is it a product issue or am I applying it wrong? Would love any concealer/foundation recs for redness-prone skin — and if you have anti-redness or calming skincare recs too, that’d be amazing!! Thanks in advance #beauty#makeuphelp #rednessskin #sensitivegirlproblems #concealerrecommendation #cakeybase #acneproneskin #skincaretips #beautyquestions

8 Years of Skincare, Zero Gimmicks

Been doing this for 8 years — not chasing trends, just trying to keep my skin healthy across Beijing & Shanghai (yes, dry heaters and humid summers both). T-zone oily, U-zone dry. Barrier-sensitive. Not here for 10-step nonsense. Over time, I learned: • Cleansing oil beats everything. • Skip micellar water & double cleansing. I love my barrier too much. • Moisture is underrated. Sometimes five layers of toner > one expensive serum. • Fancy ≠ bad. Sometimes the pricey stuff really does work better. I’m loyal to just a few: – Bobbi Brown oil (simple, clean) – Lumene spray toner (cheap, real hydration) – La Prairie Night Elixir (if I had to keep just one) – Zelens face oil (smells awful, works wonders) – Albion whitening ampoules (rescued me post-sunburn) – Avene Skin Recovery Cream (for winter crisis mode) – La Mer lip balm (gross packaging, amazing texture) I’ve stopped trying new things just for hype. If it doesn’t protect, hydrate, or repair — I don’t need it. Also: if you’re still rubbing micellar water on your face with a cotton pad every night… girl, we need to talk. #beauty#makeup#skincareaddict #beautyroutine #skincaretips #comboSkin #loweffortbeauty #holyGrailProducts #asianBeauty #beautytruths
