Kimberly Parker+FollowDid anyone else’s mom flip out if you tried to shave your thighs when you were younger? When I was becoming a teenager, my mom was actually supportive of me starting to shave my legs, but for some reason, she absolutely forbade me from going above the knee. As a dark, hairy young teen, this turned into a massive source of arguments because I honestly could not understand what the problem was. My mom always said that once you shave your body hair, it grows back darker and coarser, but I read an article a while ago saying that's just a huge myth and pseudoscience. I know that when I become a mom, I definitely won't bully my teenage daughter like that. #growingup #teenagedramas #shaving #momlogic #Parenting #Health 95Share
Angela Meyer+FollowShaving Your Bikini Area Is Seriously the Worst Thing You Can Do For Your HygieneI swear I'm seeing so many articles and ads pushing people to go fully bare down there "for cleanliness," but the reality is the total opposite! Shaving creates a ton of tiny cuts and nicks, which are basically open doors for bacteria. Plus, you get all the irritation, the crazy amount of ingrown hairs, and you're removing the natural protective barrier (the hair itself!) that prevents friction and traps pathogens. It’s wild how much we’re conditioned to think "smooth" equals "clean." Has anyone else realized this and completely stopped using a razor? What did you switch to instead? #Hygiene #Shaving #BodyHair #BeautyStandards #Grooming #ShavingProblems #HairCare 100110Share
