Is college still worth it… or have we been sold a lie?

My neighbor’s son just graduated college. He’s 24, has $80,000 in student loans… and is working part-time at a coffee shop. ☕ His dad said, “At least he has a degree.” I said, “But does it do anything anymore?” Back in the day, a college degree meant something. It opened doors. It was your ticket to the middle class. Now? It feels like a very expensive piece of paper. Meanwhile, plumbers, electricians, and truck drivers are making six figures—and they didn’t spend four years in a lecture hall. So I’ll ask the question: 👉 Is college still worth it… or have we been sold a lie? I’m not saying education isn’t valuable. I’m asking if the system still delivers what it promises. If you’re a parent or grandparent, what did you tell your kids about college? And looking back—was it the right advice? #CollegeDebt #HigherEducation #StudentLoans #ParentingQuestions #EducationSystem #AmericanDream #CollegeWorthIt #RealLifeSkills #CareerPaths #ParentingAdvice #GrandparentWisdom #LifeAfterCollege

Navigating Picky Eaters: Should Hosts Adjust Their Menus?

Whenever we host family gatherings, I always find myself wondering—should I go out of my way to accommodate every picky eater at the table? As a parent, I know how tough mealtimes can be, especially when kids (or even adults!) have strong food preferences. I remember one birthday party where I spent hours preparing separate dishes, only to realize that the joy of sharing a meal together mattered more than the menu itself. While I want everyone to feel welcome, I also believe there’s value in encouraging kids to try new things. How do you handle picky eaters at your gatherings? Do you make special accommodations, or do you stick to your planned menu? Share your thoughts below! #FamilyGatherings #ParentingQuestions #PickyEaters #Parenting

Navigating My Daughter’s Curiosity About Birth and Where Babies Come From

Lately, my 5-year-old has become fascinated with how babies are born. My wife and I have explained the basics—she knows babies come out of the vagina—but she’s sharp and senses we’re leaving something out. Now, she’s pressing for more details about how babies get there in the first place. Honestly, I’ve been dodging the question, hoping my wife would handle it, since it feels awkward for me as her dad. But I realize that avoiding the topic just makes it more mysterious and appealing. My wife worries that our daughter’s curiosity means something is wrong, but I think she’s just naturally inquisitive. Has anyone else dealt with this level of curiosity at such a young age? Would love to hear how you approached it! Drop your thoughts or advice below! #ParentingQuestions #HonestParenting #CuriousKids #Parenting

When Friendships End Suddenly: Should I Reach Out to His Mom?

My son recently cut ties with his best friend, and the suddenness of it all has left me with a heavy heart. As parents, we often witness our children’s friendships blossom and sometimes fade, but this abrupt ending feels different. I keep wondering if I should reach out to his friend’s mom and explain what happened, or if it’s best to let the boys work things out on their own. Part of me worries about misunderstandings or hurt feelings, but I also want to respect my son’s privacy and choices. Has anyone else faced a similar situation? How did you handle it? I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences in the comments below. #ParentingQuestions #FamilyDynamics #RaisingTeens #FriendshipChallenges #Parenting
