Surviving the Movies With a Baby (Yes, Really!)

Last weekend, I did something I swore I’d never do: I took my baby to the movies. 🙈 Popcorn in one hand, diaper bag in the other, I was that parent. Here’s what actually worked (and what I learned the hard way): 🔹 Find a baby-friendly screening—ours had other parents and nobody gave me the side-eye when my little one babbled. 🔹 Go during nap time. I timed it with her usual snooze, and she slept through half the film (small win!). 🔹 Bring snacks and a sippy cup. Quiet snacks kept her busy, and I avoided anything sticky—learned that after a yogurt disaster in my car. 😅 🔹 Pack a favorite plush toy. It kept her calm and didn’t make a peep (unlike the musical rattle I almost brought). 🔹 Sit near the exit. When she got fussy, I could make a quick escape—no shame in missing a few scenes! 🔹 Baby earmuffs = lifesaver. The sound was loud, but she didn’t flinch once.
