Luke 15:7 KJV "I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine iust persons, which need no repentance" That is a powerful reminder of our individua worth and the Lord's unconditional love! ( Matthew 28:1), the women came-Mary Magdalene, the other Mary, and those who had loved Him enough to stay near the cross. They came carrying spices They came expecting death Instead, they found an empty tombMatthew tells us an angel of the Lord descended, his appearance "like lightning and his clothing white as snow" (Matthew 28:3). The Roman guards trembled and fell like dead men. But the angel did not speak first to soldiers He spoke to the women "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, as He said." Matthew 28:5-6 Do not be afraid The first command of Resurrection morning was not triumph It was calm. The women entered and saw that the body was gone. Luke records their confusion-"they were perplexed about this" (Luke 24:4). Two men in dazzling apparel reminded them of His words: 'Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen." (Luke 24:5-6) And suddenly, they remembered. Everything He had told them Every promise about the third day Matthew says they departed the tomb "with fear and great joy" (Matthew 28:8) Not polished faith Not composed theology But trembling joy They ranThe Race Mary Magdalene ran to Simon Peter and the disciple whom Yeshua loved 'They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him!" John 20:2) Even in resurrection, there was still uncertainty. Peter and John did not pause to debate They ran. John tells us. almost breathless in detail: "The two were running together, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb frst." They didn’t teach labels or rituals— They taught love. - Their message was compassion. - Their path was kindness. - Their language was understanding. ✨Love was their true religion. But over time, Humans built walls around what was meant to be open. If you truly understand them… You don’t become more religious... You become more human. Spirit and Truth Devotional: Kingdom Culture - Living as Citizens of Another Realm When Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world” (John 18:36), He revealed that His followers belong to a realm shaped by values different from earthly systems. Paul echoes this: “the kingdom of God is… righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” (Romans 14:17). Our true identity is rooted in heaven—“our citizenship is in heaven” (Philippians 3:20). Just as a person’s origin can be recognized by their speech and conduct, the same is true spiritually. Those who belong to God’s Kingdom should display a distinct culture that reflects the character of Christ. The question is: Can the world tell you are part of the Kingdom of God? Can they tell that you are different? Characteristics of Kingdom Culture: Love and Kindness (1 Corinthians 13:1–8) Love is the defining trait of Kingdom life—patient, kind, and selfless. Without it, even spiritual gifts lose meaning. Integrity and Honor (1 Peter 3:16) Kingdom citizens live with clean consciences. Integrity does what is right unseen; honor treats others with dignity, silencing accusations. Forgiveness (Matthew 18:21–22) Forgiveness is continual. Kingdom people release offense quickly because they know how deeply God has forgiven them. Humility (Philippians 2:3–4) Humility stands out in a self-centered world. It mirrors Christ, who placed others before Himself. Righteousness and Holiness (1 Peter 1:15–16; Philippians 1:11) Holiness is a life set apart for God. Righteousness aligns our actions with His character through the Spirit’s work. Devotion to God (Luke 16:13) Kingdom citizens serve one Master. Devotion shows in obedience, worship, and choices that place God above all else. Kingdom culture is not performance but transformation. 🤔 Only God Can Judge Me! It’s a phrase we hear often—usually when truth feels uncomfortable. And in one sense, it’s absolutely true. Only God holds the authority to judge eternally (Romans 14:10–12). He alone sees the full heart. But that statement is often used to avoid something Scripture actually calls us to: discernment. Jesus said, “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment” (John 7:24). That’s not a call to condemn—it’s a call to see clearly. We’re not given the authority to issue verdicts on souls. But we are called to recognize truth from error, good from harmful, and to respond accordingly. “Test all things; hold fast what is good” (1 Thessalonians 5:21). “Do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits” (1 John 4:1). Discernment isn’t harsh. It isn’t self-righteous. And it should never come without humility. Jesus made that clear when He said to first remove the plank from our own eye—then we can see clearly to help someone else (Matthew 7:5). That’s the balance: truth and humility because love doesn’t stay silent when someone is heading toward harm. Love speaks—but it speaks carefully. “Speaking the truth in love…” (Ephesians 4:15) So yes—only God judges in the end. But before that day comes, we have an opportunity: to be guided by truth, to receive correction, and to grow. The reality is simple - God’s judgment will come. I'm a Christian, but... • I still lose my temper sometimes judge people when I shouldn't • • I worry too much about tomorrow • I say dumb things I regret • I struggle to forgive quickly • I don't always read my Bible like I should Being a Christian doesn't mean I'm perfect or have it all together It means Iknow I'm broken... and that's exactly why I need Jesus every single day t means I've been forgiven a massive debt I could never pay, so I try (even when 1 fail) to extend that same arace to others It means following a Savior who loved me at my worst and calls me to love people the same way-not out of obligation, but because His love changed everything for me. t's not about rules or lookina religious t's about a relationship with the One who gives real hope, real peace, and real purpose -even on the messy daysf you're reading this and feel far from perfect... good news: you're exactly the kind of person Jesus came for. t What does being a Christian mean to YOU?
