edwardspeter+FollowHealth Insurance Up, So Are Your BillsDid you notice your health bills creeping up? You’re not alone! A new AMA report says health care spending jumped 7.5% in 2023—the biggest spike (outside of 2020) in years. More people have insurance, which means more doctor visits and prescriptions, but also higher out-of-pocket costs like co-pays and deductibles. Private insurance spending shot up too. Basically, more coverage = more spending, and our wallets are feeling it! #HealthCareCosts #Insurance #MedicalBills #HealthTrends #Health90Share
dalemiller+FollowYour Car Might Be Spying on YouImagine finding out your car’s been tracking your every move—and selling that info for years—without you knowing! That’s what happened to a Toyota driver who only noticed when an insurance site already had his driving history. Turns out, his RAV4’s built-in telemetry tracked everything from speed to seatbelt use, and shared it with insurance companies. Now he’s suing Toyota and wants other drivers to join in. Would you be cool with your car sharing your secrets? #CarPrivacy #Toyota #DataBreach #Insurance #TechNews #Cars102Share
solisxavier+FollowAffordable car insurance?Insurance rates include a multitude of things: year of vehicle & it’s safety features (newer cars with backup cameras, blind spot alert, etc), address where car is parked, how vehicle is used (work/pleasure) + mileage, driving history for all drivers on the policy (tickets & accidents in last 5 yrs), type of previous insurance company (if Geico was your old company, you’re getting a better rate then someone who had Bristol west). There are other things I might’ve missed but that’s the bulk of it. How do you beat this? Shop around. I also encourage everyone to order their Lexis Nexis driving report. I believe it’s free. You’d be surprised how many people find things on their driving report that had nothing to do with them. You may be able to use this report to dispute any discrepancies showing up when shopping for rates. My credentials are that I have been an agent in both personal and commercial lines for 5 yrs. #car #insurance #bills31Share
Yolanda Flowers+FollowWhy is my MRI bill $35K? Is this even real? 😳So I just got slapped with a crazy MRI bill—$35K! Thankfully, insurance knocked it down to $16K, but I still have to pay $2K out of pocket. I’m seriously questioning if the actual cost of this test was ever anywhere near $2K. How is this even possible? Has anyone else been hit with a ridiculous bill like this? I mean, I get that medical costs are high, but this feels like a total rip-off. #medicalbills #mri #insurance71Share
