did i just risk it all by planting watermelon babies today?

Today was wild—I finally put my watermelon transplants in the ground! I was nervous, but I read that giving them a good soak right after planting helps them settle in. So, I watered them like crazy and made sure the soil was loose and warm. I even left extra space between each plant because everyone says melons love to stretch out. I’m crossing my fingers the weather stays warm. If you’re trying this too, don’t forget to mulch around the base. It keeps the soil moist and the weeds away.
