daisysalinas+FollowWhy Do We Still Pretend Cargo Shorts Are Fashionable?CAN WE TALK ABOUT CARGO SHORTS FOR A SECOND? EVERY SUMMER, THEY CRAWL OUT OF THE CLOSET LIKE IT’S 2005 AND DEMAND RESPECT. NO MATTER HOW MANY POCKETS YOU ADD, THEY’RE STILL JUST BAGGY SHORTS THAT MAKE EVERY OUTFIT LOOK LIKE YOU’RE READY TO FIX A LEAK, NOT HIT THE TOWN. I GET IT, THEY’RE COMFY—BUT SO ARE SWEATPANTS, AND WE DON’T WEAR THOSE TO DINNER. ARE WE REALLY STILL DEFENDING THESE, OR IS IT TIME TO LET THEM GO FOR GOOD? WHAT’S THE ONE PIECE YOU WISH WOULD DISAPPEAR FOREVER? #fashionrant #styledebate #menswear #outfitstruggles #Fashion1338Share
ThrivingThrush+FollowWhy Are TV Work Outfits So Unrealistic?Heels on a chase scene, silk blouses in a starter job, and lab coats over miniskirts—TV costume designers really think we’re living in a totally different universe. I can’t help but laugh (and cringe) when a character’s outfit is so wildly impractical for her job. Like, who actually wears open-toed slingbacks to a tactical showdown? I wish my work wardrobe was half as glamorous (and nonsensical) as what I see on screen, but real life is more about comfort and surviving coffee spills than running in stilettos. What’s the most unrealistic work outfit you’ve seen on TV? Spill your favorite (or least favorite) moment! #workwearreality #fashionrant #tvstyle #outfitfails #Fashion00Share
