I found myself a kid as a girlfriend
Living with my girlfriend in NYC should be fun, right? But for almost two years, I’ve been paying $2,000+ a month for rent, utilities, and groceries, while she throws in a measly $400. Her excuse? She’s only working part-time (which she hid from me for a year!) and spends the rest of her money on makeup and lip fillers. Every time I bring up splitting things 50/50, she guilt-traps me with tears and stories about her tough life. I end up feeling like the villain and apologizing, but nothing changes.
Now, I’m exhausted and broke, and she barely helps around the apartment. Am I wrong for wanting things to be fair? How do I get through to her without being the bad guy again? 😩💸
