I can’t believe it—my Peggy Martin climbing rose finally exploded with blooms after a year and a half of waiting! I almost gave up on her, but I kept feeding her a little compost every few months and made sure she got enough sun. I even talked to her sometimes (no shame). There were days I thought I’d messed up, especially when the leaves looked sad. But I learned that patience is everything with roses. I trimmed the dead bits and kept the soil moist but not soggy. Seeing those pink flowers pop up made every bit of effort worth it. If you’re struggling with a stubborn plant, hang in there.
