Climbing Gym Project: Spray Wall Heaven in Kanagawa
📍 Near Kamoi Station, Kanagawa — ~15min walk
This is the place for hardcore climbers.
Almost entirely spray wall. No fancy commercial setting — just taped holds or a printed problem book. You gotta memorize lines before getting on.
💪 Wall angles are steep. Tons of problems: limited-time sets, theme-based, skill drills (pinch/crimp-specific), and even a traditional line-set wall if you need structure.
There’s a huge roof, and yes, they installed lights under it. Second floor = solid training area, everything you need.
⚠️ Caveats:
Not beginner-friendly
No air con — it gets freezing in winter
Problems marked by range (e.g., “yellow = V2–V4”), not exact grades
Foot freedom is common (handholds only, step wherever)
❤️ Vibes: Chill staff. One time a climber who bakes brought extra bread — end of the night, they made sure everyone left with a loaf. Unexpectedly wholesome.
