26-Year-Old Nurse With $650k Savings Torn Between Real Estate & ETFs! 😵💰
Hey friends, I’m 26, single, and have managed to save up $650k thanks to some wild years as a travel nurse (think $10k weeks during the pandemic!). I’ve got no debt, a paid-off car, and my savings split between a CD, a HYSA, and a retirement account. But here’s the catch—I don’t own a home because I’m always on the move for work.
Lately, work has been stressful. The constant travel, unpredictable schedules, and lack of stability are wearing me down. I thought about investing in Section 8 real estate in the Midwest, buying a few cheap houses to generate steady income. But now I’m second-guessing myself—should I just stick to ETFs instead? I feel stuck and overwhelmed by all these choices.
If you were in my shoes, what would you do? I’d love to hear your advice or experiences. I’m really hoping for some clarity from those who’ve been here before! 🙏🏽🏡
