I started with just a couple of berry bushes—blueberries and raspberries. Now, I’ve got strawberries sneaking through the grass and even some blackberries climbing the fence. I never thought I’d have so many different berries growing at once. Turns out, mixing a little compost into the soil and giving each plant its own space really helped. I also learned to water in the morning, so the leaves dry out by noon. That keeps the plants happy and the berries sweet. Picking a handful of fresh berries before breakfast is my new favorite thing.
