navan vs concur: is switching really worth it?
We’ve been wrestling with Concur for our 110-person team, and honestly, it’s been more of a headache than a help. The app is slow, billing gets delayed, and—here’s the kicker—it refuses to sync with QuickBooks, so every month ends with us hunched over spreadsheets, fixing things by hand. Even after we ran a whole training session, folks still complain it’s confusing. At this point, I’m convinced it’s not just us being tech-challenged.
Now, a couple of my old coworkers have been singing Navan’s praises, saying it’s way easier and less glitchy. Supposedly, it’s even free for businesses our size (under 200 people), which sounds great on paper. But you know how these companies love to make everything look perfect in their ads. I’m not buying it until I hear from people who’ve actually used it day in and day out.
Here’s what’s bugging me: Is Navan really that much more user-friendly than Concur, or is it just the same mess with a different logo? We rely on mobile apps a lot, so if Navan’s app is just as slow, that’s a dealbreaker. And what’s the deal with Navan Rewards? Is it actually useful, or just another gimmick?
If you’ve switched from Concur to Navan, did it actually make your life easier, or did you just trade one set of problems for another? I’d love to hear some real stories before I go to bat for a big change.
