How Can Teens Master Science Vocabulary?
This year, I felt like a lone wolf howling at the moon—my students, bright as they are, just couldn’t grasp the language of science! 🐺🔬 Ninth to eleventh graders, lost in a forest of unfamiliar words, struggled to build logical arguments. I dreamt of giving them journal articles, but most are written for experts, not curious young minds.
So, I’m on a quest this summer to find short, accessible science texts—especially in physics and chemistry—that will help my students build their vocabulary and confidence.
