Peaks I Never Shared
There’s a folder on my phone—hundreds of mountain shots, all from backcountry trips I barely talk about. Each peak looks epic, but most days out there were just me, alone, trying to prove something to myself.
I’d scramble up a ridge, take a photo, and think: maybe this one will make it feel worth it. But the view never filled the space I hoped it would. I kept chasing higher summits, telling myself I was collecting memories, but really, I was just running from stillness.
Some photos never made it online. Not because they weren’t beautiful, but because they showed how small I felt, even on top of the world.
