Nina +FollowI left my Bosch bits in vinegar overnightI was trying to clean up some rust on my Bosch bits, so I decided to soak them in vinegar overnight😬 However, when I checked them this morning, they had turned completely black. I’m not sure if I just ruined the finish or if this is some kind of chemical reaction I wasn't expecting... is there any way to get them back to normal? 😳 #Tools #Bosch #DIYGoneWrong #ToolMaintenance #RustRemovalTips 20Share
Nina +FollowWhen it comes to long screws, what head type are you actually picking?I’m looking at some long framing screws and realizing how much I hate Phillips for anything over three inches. It cams out constantly and just ruins the day. I’ve been leaning heavily into Torx lately because the grip is so much more reliable #Tools #Woodworking #Torx #Construction #DIY 00Share
Thomas Clark+FollowMy new vise from AliExpress broke in half in two weeks.I thought I was getting a great deal on an 8-inch bench vise from AliExpress. Two weeks later, after just regular use, the thing completely snapped. #Tools #ShopProblems #Budgeting00Share

Nina +FollowWhat can I use it for? And what is the right name for this?I just came into possession of this old electric drill that has a gear reduction attachment bolted to the front. I included a picture of the find. This thing converts the drill's high RPM into serious low-speed torque. It looks like it could turn the crank on a small submarine, but its original purpose was actually bizarre. It was originally used on chicken farms to slowly pull a long roll of paper liner in battery cages. I am determined to find a cool modern application for this. And does anyone know a name for this tool? (Google's AI thinks it's a nibbler for metal work - nope.) Need serious suggestions. #Tools #WhatIsThis #DIY #HighTorque #OldTools 810Share
