DRONE DROPS CRAB BOIL, DRUGS & CIGARETTES AT SOUTH CAROLINA PRISON — YES, REALLY In one of the most “only in 2025” moments of the year, the South Carolina Department of Corrections is scratching their heads (and probably still laughing) after a drone decided to moonlight as a DoorDash driver with very questionable items on the menu. According to officials, a drone swooped over Lee Correctional Institution and dropped off the strangest care package imaginable: two giant bags of marijuana, a pack of loose tobacco, a carton of cigarettes, and—because why not—a full-on Old Bay crab boil and steak dinner. Yes… someone really said, “Let’s send the weed AND the seafood.” SCDC even joked about the surprise delivery, saying some folks were clearly prepping for an early holiday feast behind bars. Unfortunately for the masterminds behind the drone delivery, the only thing getting served now is an investigation.
