My Cat’s Cure for the Flu: Relentless Cuddles
Apparently, my cat Luna has decided that the best medicine for a fever is her sitting directly on my chest, purring at full volume. Forget chicken soup—try breathing with a 12-pound furball pinning you down.
I woke up this morning feeling like a sentient tissue, but Luna had other plans. She’s been glued to my side all day, occasionally swatting my phone away if I dare to scroll instead of pet her. Is she a nurse? A jailer? Both?
Honestly, I think she’s convinced her presence alone will heal me. And weirdly, she might be right. Between the forced naps and the warmth, I’m already feeling a little better.
Shoutout to all the pets who moonlight as doctors, therapists, and professional snugglers. We don’t deserve them, but I’m not giving Luna a raise. She already gets paid in treats and my undivided attention.
