lost camera on shelter cove road—who’s missing memories?
Driving along Shelter Cove Road this weekend, we were just soaking in the foggy coastline, windows down, when I nearly ran over something shiny right in the middle of the road. Turns out, it was a pretty fancy camera—definitely not the kind you pick up at a gas station. I couldn’t help but wonder: who brings a camera like this out here and then manages to lose it? I mean, the Lost Coast is gorgeous, but it’s not exactly the place you want to drop your expensive gear.
Now, I’m torn. Part of me wants to peek at the photos (just to see if there’s a clue about the owner), but I’d feel guilty scrolling through someone else’s memories. On the other hand, if it were my camera, I’d be desperate to get it back—especially if it had family vacation shots or something irreplaceable. Has anyone else ever found something valuable and not known what to do? Or maybe you’ve lost something important and wished for a miracle? I can’t be the only one who’s felt this weird mix of curiosity and responsibility.
