Cleaned it up, fresh lube, new line - now it's my go-to river setup on a KastKing Crixus 5'6 light rod. Sure, it's not as smooth as modern reels with a million bearings, but it's smooth enough and surprises everyone who tries it. Thinking about buying another just for spare parts. That 5'6 length is perfect for river fishing around here. Reminds me of my old Shakespeare Red Wolf setup that caught so many fish... until my cousin's friend broke it. Still salty about that!
