Ernest Hemingway, known for his tough guy persona, once had a meltdown demanding, “I want a cat, I need a cat right now!” 😳 And not just any cat — he was obsessed with a six-toed one named Snowball. 🐱
In fact, Hemingway loved Snowball so much that he made a crazy request in his will: he left his house to the cats, with full access to live and play anywhere they wanted. Fast forward to today, and there are over 70 cats living in Hemingway’s former home, with many being descendants of Snowball. Half of them have the famous six toes! 🦶
So, if you’re ever in Key West, you might just meet one of his “heirs” lounging around, living the dream. 😼
