Why Do Cats Have That Weird Ear Flap?

Okay, fellow pet parents, I have a burning question: what’s the deal with that tiny pocket/flap thing on the side of my cat’s ear? I swear, every time I’m petting my cat, my finger finds it and I’m like, is this normal? Is it a secret button? Did evolution just get bored? I tried Googling it and apparently it’s called a "Henry’s pocket" (which sounds like a British snack, tbh). Some say it helps cats hear high-pitched sounds, others think it’s just leftover anatomy from their wild ancestors. My cat, meanwhile, acts like I’ve discovered a forbidden zone and gives me the side-eye if I touch it. Anyone else obsessed with weird pet anatomy? Or is it just me? why did my cat suddenly start stealing my pillow? 😳😴

So, for the past couple of years, my cat’s been sleeping near me, usually by my waist or tummy. But lately, out of nowhere, she’s been trying to steal my pillow and sleep right next to my head! 😅 I even got her an identical pillow, but nope, she’s not having it. She just insists on sharing mine! She’s still eating like normal, no changes in her energy, and no stomach issues, so I’m not worried about her health. But seriously, what’s going on?
