Hatter Gone Mad

Ullr God of Winter Known for skis and archery, tools of survival in the North, not sport or spectacle. To move across snow, to hunt in winter, to endure scarcity When winter locked the land in ice, the people did not call for thunder or visions. They whispered Ullr. A chieftain once swore safe passage across a frozen lake, though he knew the ice was failing beneath the snow. Before dawn, a hunter appeared. No crown. No glory. Only skis worn smooth and a bow drawn tight against the cold. He spoke once: “An oath does not bend for fear.” Ullr led them across the lake, step by measured step. Those who trusted patience survived. One who rushed ahead broke the ice and was lost. On the far shore, the hunter vanished into the trees. That winter, the people learned what Ullr teaches still: Oaths are not protected by gods. They are judged by them. And when snow falls without wind and the forest grows silent, it is said Ullr is passing through listening for promises spoken too easily. What oath do you keep when no one is watching? #Ullr #NorseMythology #NorseGods #VikingWisdom #WinterGod #AncientWisdom #NordicDaughter

Hatter Gone Mad

Most Valkyries are remembered for choosing the slain… but Brynhildr is remembered for something far more dangerous: she disobeyed Odin himself. In the old sagas, Brynhildr was ordered to decide a battle a certain way. Instead, she followed her own heart and granted victory to the wrong warrior. For that defiance, Odin cursed her with a magical sleep and surrounded her with a ring of fire. Only the bravest hero could reach her. Sigurd did. He walked through the flames and woke her with truth and steel, and for a moment they burned brighter together than any legend before or after. But love and fate in Norse lore rarely end gently… Oaths broke. Jealousy rose. And Brynhildr’s fury helped bring down kings and heroes alike. She is remembered as the Valkyrie who chose freedom over obedience, love over fear, and authenticity over destiny even when it cost her everything. 🖤🔥⚔️ #Valkyrie #Brynhildr #NorseMythology #VikingSoul #NordicDaughter #FolkSaga #facebookrepost

Hatter Gone Mad

Ratatoskr is the squirrel who lives on Yggdrasil, the world tree in Norse mythology. He runs up and down the trunk of the tree, carrying messages between the great eagle perched at the top and Nidhogg, the serpent gnawing at the roots below. The texts don’t say the messages are true or false, only that they fuel hostility between the two. Ratatoskr isn’t a god, a warrior, or a monster. He represents communication itself: how words travel between worlds, how conflict is carried, and how small messengers can influence vast forces. In Norse thought, even minor beings had a role in maintaining or unsettling the cosmic balance. Not everything that shapes the world does so with strength. Some things do it with words. You don’t have to be at the top of the tree to matter. You don’t have to dwell in the depths to have power. Most of us live in the middle moving between worlds, people, ideas, and moments. And that is not a weakness. It is a responsibility. Your voice carries farther than you think. The way you speak, listen, and choose your words shapes the spaces you move through. You belong because you connect. You matter because you carry meaning. Even the smallest messenger can influence the fate of worlds when they move with awareness and intention. Walk your path. Carry wisely. You are needed. #NordicDaughter #Ratatoskr #Yggdrasil #NorseMythology #PoeticEdda #WorldTree #AncientStories #ModernSaga
