Husband wants to divorce and "start over," says he "can't bond" with our daughter
I'm writing this with a heavy heart, hoping there's still a way to fix what feels broken beyond repair.My husband (29M) and I (30NB) have been married for five years. Last September, we welcomed our first child—a beautiful baby girl. Labor was complicated, and after things went downhill quickly, I needed an emergency C-section. My husband had to leave the room and wasn't there for her birth.Now, just months later, he's saying he wants a divorce. He says he "can't bond" with our daughter because he didn’t witness her birth, and claims he’s lost the dream of having a "small, close-knit family." Therapy was suggested by his dad, but he refused, insisting it's hopeless.I feel so lost. I know there’s no magic fix, but I can’t help hoping.
