In a new The Athletic profile, Simmons said he’s training in Los Angeles with the goal of becoming “bulletproof” to avoid more setbacks — and added that his shot finally feels good again, to the point he can even take a simple hook shot without discomfort. He also explained why he didn’t sign with a team this offseason: after years of dealing with back issues and playing hurt, he wants to get to 100% before putting his body on the line again.
