I posted about feeling low… and the school locked me in a counselor’s room.

I’m 15. Last week, I made a post that said: "I feel so tired. I don’t even know why I try anymore." It wasn’t for attention. I just needed to let it out. The next day, the school called me in. I thought maybe someone wanted to check in. But instead, they told me: 👉 “You’re not allowed to post things like that. It makes the school look bad.” 👉 “You’re spreading negativity.” 👉 “If you do it again, we’ll call your parents and put it on your record.” I sat there in a tiny office while they asked me if I was “safe.” But none of it felt safe. It felt like I was being punished for hurting. No one asked what was going on. No one said, “I’m here for you.” They just wanted me to shut up and smile. Why are teens treated like threats when we’re just asking for help? Why do schools care more about their image than our mental health? #MentalHealthMatters #TeenVoices #HighSchoolLife #SchoolSystemFail #LetKidsSpeak #StopTheSilence #MentalHealthAwareness #ListenToTeens #SupportNotSilence #EducationReform

What Does Happiness Really Feel Like When You’ve Never Known It?

I’m 44 and have lived with major depression for as long as I can remember. My childhood was rough—abuse, neglect, and pain shaped my early years. Even with all that, I managed to put myself through college and grad school, and now I have a great career and a loving wife. Recently, my new psychiatrist tried a different approach with my meds, and for the first time, I feel... different. Not happy, exactly, but more like the absence of pain. Is this what happiness is supposed to feel like? I honestly don’t know. If you’ve ever wondered the same, I’d love to hear your thoughts. I Tried Meditating All Day to Cope With Depression—Here’s What Happened

Feeling really low, I decided to take a page from Siddhartha and just meditate all day at home. I didn’t expect enlightenment, just wanted to see what would happen. After a few hours, I noticed my breath just happened on its own, which made me realize how little control I actually have over life. That was oddly freeing. My room looked extra messy, but I didn’t rush to clean it. I ended up meditating for about six hours, which is the longest I’ve ever done. No huge insights, but I did notice my triggers faded faster and I felt more aware of my unhealthy habits. Surprisingly, the next day I felt genuinely happy for the first time in months. If you’re struggling, maybe try a meditation day. It won’t fix everything, but it might shift your perspective. Anyone else tried this?
